Nelly Korda was born in Bradenton, Florida on July 28, 1998, making her 23 years old. Her parents had a big impact on her golf career. Both parents were born in Czechoslovak. Both parents were pro tennis players. Her younger brother Sebastian is also a professional tennis player. Her sister, Jessica, is on the LPGA as well. She turned pro in 2016, making her only 18 years old.
In 2016, Nelly Won the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge and finished ninth on the Volvik Race for the Card Symetra Tour money list to earn LPGA Tour status in her first year as a professional. She recorded seven top-10 finishes including a T6 at the Symetra Tour Championship to finish in the top 10. She also qualified for the U.S. Women's Open.
In 2017, Nelly was in 23 events and made 19 cuts. This year she made $442,068. As a 2017 rookie, had five top-10 finishes including four additional top-20 finishes in 23 starts. She ranked second on the tour in eagles (12), third on Tour in Par-5 Scoring Averages (4.59) and finished third in the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year standings (599 points).
In 2018, Nelly entered 22 events and made 18 cuts. This year she earned $1,055,046. She became a Rolex First-Time Winner at the Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship presented by CTBC and crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings.
